Overview

Children will be asked to decode a code using dots and dashes following a key which is shown on the screen

Learning outcomes

KS1 (Years 1–2)

  • use their voices expressively and creatively by singing songs and speaking chants and rhymes
  • listen with concentration and understanding to a range of high-quality live and recorded music

KS2 (Years 3–6)

  • improvise and compose music for a range of purposes using the interrelated dimensions of music
  • use and understand staff and other musical notations

Teacher Notes

Make sure your pupils have a pen and paper ready. They can write down the pattern first, as they hear it, and then - decypher using the key.
