Overview

Use these interactive flashcards on the whiteboard as a fun discussion task with your class. Show a card and ask pupils to put their hands up if they can identify the instrument. Encourage them to share anything they know about it – such as how it sounds, how it’s played, or which family it belongs to. The activity can be repeated multiple times to reinforce learning and help children grow in confidence at recognising instruments

Learning outcomes

KS1 (Years 1–2)

  • play tuned and untuned instruments musically

KS2 (Years 3–6)
