Overview

Join Sarah and Pete the Pilot in the Rhythm Control room for a fun activity. They’ll guide you through a series of actions — patting, clapping, and tapping — all in time with the music. Listen carefully, follow their instructions, and keep the beat as you move along. Let’s explore rhythm together and enjoy the movements!

Learning outcomes

KS1 (Years 1–2)

  • play tuned and untuned instruments musically
  • experiment with, create, select and combine sounds using the interrelated dimensions of music

KS2 (Years 3–6)

  • play and perform in solo and ensemble contexts, using their voices and playing musical instruments with increasing accuracy, fluency, control and expression
  • listen with attention to detail and recall sounds with increasing aural memory
